Male breast reduction, or gynecomastia surgery, is a surgical technique used to remove the benign breast or glandular tissue from the chest of men. Men with excess glandular/breast tissue often suffer psychological distress and are self-conscience of their body and appearance. The goal is to make the chest proportional to the body and alleviate physical and emotional concerns.

Predefined incisions are made on the chest and excess fat and glandular tissue is removed. Sometimes, if there is a significant amount of skin, skin excision and tightening may be required. Corrective surgery can be accomplished with liposuction alone or in conjunction with skin and tissue resection.
